chemical peel is a technique used to improve the appearance of the skin on the face, neck or hands. A chemical solution is applied to the skin that causes it to exfoliate and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. Chemical peel strength is easily adjusted to obtain the results you’re looking for.

Microneedling is procedure using a pen with minuscule oscillating needles used to create tiny needle pricks in the skin. This micro-damage stimulates the skin to naturally generate new collagen and skin tissue for smoother, firmer, more toned skin. Microneedling is typically used on the face to improve skin texture and reduce the appearance of scars, wrinkles, and large pores.

Make this your first step.

When trying to figure out what skin products to use, we hear over and over that what they are using they either found via an online ad, friends who know someone who loves (or sells) such-in-such, or the girl at their favorite beauty counter. None of these people are properly trained in a proper skin assessment and educated in the skin care ingredients that actually WORK and don’t harm your skin. That’s why we always start with a full assessment and then systematically address each of your concerns with a thoughtful, methodical approach to caring for your skin with safe and effective skin care products and procedures.

Q: What does a chemical peel do?

A: A chemical peel gets rid of imperfections on the face and neck, and makes wrinkles and acne scars less noticeable. One chemical peel session will not make the skin perfectly smooth; it will require several sessions to get the best results.

Q: Is there more than one kind of Chemical Peel?

A: Yes! Establishing the goal of your chemical peel will determine how frequent and what strength of treatment you will require.  This is why consulting with our qualified advanced aesthetican to determine what type of chemical peel will be appropriate is so important. Some skin types require just superficial treatment, while others require deeper penetration. There are three basic levels of chemical peel – light, medium and deep, and recovery times will vary.

Q: What is microneedling?

A: Microneedling uses sterile, oscillating “microneedle” pen with tiny needles to stimulate the natural collagen production in the skin.

Q: Will it hurt?

A: Light microneedling is virtually painless. For more indepth treatments, numbing cream is used.

Q: What does it treat?

A: Microneedling can treat acne, scarring, stretch marks, fine lines, uneven skin tone, large pores, wrinkles, discoloration, loose skin, and more!

Q: Am I a candidate?

A: It is safe for most people, but if you have an infection or history of abnormal healing, we may need to adapt your treatment plan.

There’s no time like the present.
