About Jeuveau
Jeuveau is a relatively new neurotoxin modulator that received FDA approval in 2019 for the treatment of mild to severe glabellar lines, i.e., the frown lines between your eyebrows. However, Jeuveau can also be used to smooth other dynamic wrinkles caused by the overuse of facial muscles, such as the laugh lines around your eyes and horizontal forehead lines.
Jeuveau is made of prabotulinumtoxinA (botulinum toxin type A), a neurotoxin protein that blocks the transmission of signals between targeted muscles and nerves. When injected into strategically chosen locations on your face, it prevents your nerves from sending muscle contraction signals to your face, thereby paralysing the facial muscles responsible for your dynamic wrinkles, which, in turn, gives you smoother and youthful skin.
