WHO PERFORMS THE BOTOX INJECTIONS?

All Botox injections at our center are performed by our highly trained Aura Aesthetics medical providers. Your care and comfort are our top priorities!
HOW DOES BOTOX WORK?

Botox effectively relaxes facial muscles and decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Botox belongs to a class of cosmetic injectables that temporarily relax the facial muscles responsible for these wrinkles. It’s composed of a neurotoxin protein called botulinum toxin that blocks communications between muscles and the nerve roots that carry messages to the brain. When strategically injected into the facial muscles responsible for your wrinkles, Botox relaxes your muscles and reduces the look of wrinkles on your skin.
HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS LAST?

On average, the results of Botox treatment endure for approximately 3-4 months. However, some clients may experience longer-lasting results. To maintain a smooth and wrinkle-free appearance, our clients usually undergo three to four Botox treatments annually.
DOES IT HURT?

Aura Aesthetics is staffed with highly trained and experienced injectors dedicated to ensuring your comfort. While Botox injections may cause a slight sting or prick sensation, our skilled team strives to make the experience as comfortable as possible for you.
WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME?

There is no downtime associated with Botox treatments. You may encounter slight tenderness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site, but these effects generally resolve within hours to a few days after the treatment.
WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS OF A BOTOX TREATMENT?

Some people experience minor swelling and bruising for a few days. But you can resume most daily activities immediately and strenuous activities in 24 hours.
HOW MANY UNITS OF BOTOX WILL I NEED?

Our wrinkle relaxers can address several areas, including: Frown lines (aka 11's) - (10-25 units) Forehead lines - (12-20 units) Brow Lift - (4-10 units) Laugh lines or crow's feet - (12-20 units) Gummy smile Pebble chin Necklines - (12-24 units) Bunny lines - (6-12 units) Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) - (20-50 units) Lip Flip - (4-8 units) Jaw clenching - (30-50 units) Enlarged pores Chin dimpling - (6-8 units) The average units above differ between patients' needs. Women who exercise heavily and men require higher doses. Areas treated that require more than 50 units qualify for a reduced rate.

Our treatments commonly target areas between the brows, forehead, and around the eyes for optimal results.
CAN WE CONSULT OVER THE PHONE?

Wwe understand the convenience of teleconsultations, but when it comes to Botox treatments, an in-person consultation is essential. To determine the right number of units for your unique needs, your injector must thoroughly assess your skin in person. Factors like skin elasticity, texture, and other individual characteristics play a crucial role in creating a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals. This level of precision simply can’t be achieved through a virtual consultation, which is why we prioritize an in-person approach to ensure the best results for you.
WHAT ARE FILLERS?

Dermal Fillers provide instant smoothing of moderate to severe lines around the nose and mouth. They also address volume loss in the cheeks, offering a lifting effect. The results are natural-looking and can last up to two years, depending on the type of filler and the placement area.
HOW LONG DO FILLERS LAST?

Fillers can provide optimal correction for up to two years. Some evidence suggests that hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvéderm and Voluma may stimulate the production of new collagen in your body, potentially extending the duration of improvement.
DOES IT HURT?

Generally, there is minimal discomfort during the treatment process. To enhance your comfort, especially in sensitive areas like fine lines around the mouth or in the lips, a topical numbing cream may be applied before the treatment.

The HydraFacial treatment is a quick and efficient procedure, taking approximately an hour of your time. Described as feeling like a cool paintbrush moving over the face, the treatment is generally comfortable. There is no downtime, and you can apply makeup and resume your normal activities immediately after the treatment.

Most clients only need one treatment. However, based on the degree of wrinkles, skin laxity and volume loss clients may benefit from additional treatments. Because skin continues to age, additional treatments can help clients keep pace with the body’s natural aging process.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

The number of treatments required varies from individual to individual, and your Aura Aesthetics treatment provider will customize a treatment plan based on the level of improvement you desire. Typically, a common approach involves a series of three to six treatments to achieve optimal results.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER IPL TREATMENT?

Immediately after treatment, mild redness may occur, and you may experience a sensation similar to a slight sunburn in the treated area. This discomfort is expected to dissipate within a few hours, although in some cases, it may last a day or two. Several days post-treatment, you can start noticing healthier-looking skin. Sun spots, age spots, or broken blood vessels should begin to clear up within one to two weeks, revealing improved skin tone and texture.
WHAT IS MICRONEEDLING?

Microneedling is a procedure where a device slides along the skin, penetrating the upper layers to a depth of up to 2mm. This action signals the body to respond by producing collagen and elastin fibers. Consequently, the skin becomes fuller, reducing the appearance of scars, lines, and wrinkles. Microneedling is a rejuvenating treatment that stimulates the skin's natural healing processes for improved texture and tone.
WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE?

With a numbed face, the microneedling treatment feels like little more than light pressure on the face, occasionally accompanied by a mild sparking sensation. The numbing helps ensure your comfort during the procedure, making it a generally tolerable experience.
WHAT IS PRP?

PRP, or Platelet-Rich Plasma, is crafted from a person's own blood. It is a concentrated blend of plasma cells and specific growth factors. When injected into tissue, PRP bathes the cells, naturally stimulating the healing process. This innovative approach utilizes the body's own resources to enhance healing and rejuvenation.
WHAT IS MY RECOVERY TIME?

The inflammation of the skin is very temporary and significantly reduces within a few hours post-treatment. It may remain slightly pink for up to 48 hours after the procedure. Utilizing hyaluronic acid after the procedure can help further reduce inflammation, and sunscreen is recommended to protect the skin. If you choose to use makeup during the recovery period, it's advisable to limit it to mineral makeup for optimal skin care.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS DO I NEED FOR MICRONEEDLING?

The number of treatments required depends on the specific skin condition. For moderate acne scars, three to four treatments may be needed, while thermal burns and stretch marks may require up to five treatments. For wrinkles caused by aging, one or two refresher treatments are recommended per year. Microneedling can be safely repeated every four to six weeks, as needed. Collagen induction typically requires a minimum of three treatments, while scar reduction may necessitate between three and six sessions. It's advisable to allow four to six weeks between each treatment to optimize the healing and rejuvenation process.
HOW LONG DOES MICRONEEDLING TAKE?

The Microneedling treatment itself typically takes about 45 minutes. However, an additional 30 to 45 minutes is usually allocated beforehand for the application of numbing cream to ensure your comfort during the procedure. The combined time allows for a comprehensive and comfortable Microneedling experience.
WHAT KIND OF SKIN DOES MICRONEEDLING WORK ON?

Medical microneedling is safe to use on all skin types and colors without the risk of post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation. This makes it a versatile and inclusive option for individuals with various skin tones and types.
